オーリッドに入社したきっかけは？
私は小さな地元のITスクールを卒業しましたが、私の生まれ育った地域ではIT分野の仕事を見つけると言うことは少し難しいことで、あまりそういう機会がありませんでした。私の家族は自営業をしており、将来的には経営は私に任せられるので私はその意欲を販売と営業に注ぎました。
CAFE O-RIDの仕事を見つける前に自分の進路は販売と営業に向いていましたが、ITへの興味は変わらず、O-RIDでの仕事は私にとって自分のITスキルも磨くことができ、尚且つ将来的に自分を成長させられるチャンスだと思います。
After graduating from IT school in a small town, my prospects in entering into an IT field is a bit gloomy in my area where I grew up. There was not so much opportunity in there. So I diverted my attention into Sales and Marketing. After all, my family had a business that I need to support and in future run our business.
My interest in IT never faltered even most of my career path went along in Sales and Marketing. Until I found out O-RID Café has an opening. This led me to thinking this is my chance to hone and flourish my skills in IT and the rest is history.
仕事の現場について教えてください。
私はCAFE O-RIDでITコンシェルジュとして働き始めました。KYBER を勉強し、マスターしてから、カフェに来るお客様にデモを始めました。数ヶ月後、私はカフェの広告のためにシンプルなグラフィックデザインを始め、その後、より複雑な広告設計にも携わるようになりました。その他、いろいろなIT関係のリサーチにも携わらせていただき、勉強すると同時にITの知識を身に付けることができるので満足しております。
I started working as an IT Concierge in the CAFE. I did not waste any time but to study and master KYBER and started demonstrating to customers. Few months later, I started to make simple graphic designs for ads and later making more complex designs. Next, they asked me to do some research work. I get satisfaction every time I gain more knowledge in IT.
職場の雰囲気はいかがですか？
私は外国人としてシンガポールで働いて、特に職場にいる時、いろいろな人々、例えば中国人、マレー人、インド人などと付き合って、異なる文化の学習や理解をしなければなりません。日本人と仕事をするのはO-RIDが初めての経験で、驚いたことに、職場で献身と情熱を示せば、彼らは温かく打ち解けてくれます。
Working in Singapore as a foreigner, I have been fascinated learning and understanding the different cultures among different races be it Chinese, Malay and Indian, most especially in my workplace. Working with Japanese is one thing I wanted to try until I got this opportunity, ｔhey are easy to get along with as long you show your dedication and passion at work.
仕事でやりがいを感じる時は？
顧客が当社のサービスに対する満足度を示した時。CAFE O-RIDは、より良いサービスを提供しシステムの向上に努めています。
Achievement comes when a customer gets satisfaction with our service.。 We strive to improve ourselves and our system to serve our customers better.
どんな人材と一緒に仕事をしたいと考えますか？
例えそれぞれの物事の考え方や視点が異なっても、お互いに敬意を示し、同じ目標に向かって協力できる方と一緒に働きたいです。
As long as we share the same goals or objectives, it does not matter to me how different our perspectives are as long we can still show respect and cooperate with each other.
